Progressive Agriculture Safety Days
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, the Penn State Extension presented its annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Brookville. Nearly 180 second grade students from elementary schools in Jefferson County attended this learning experience.
Students heard presentations and participated in activities related to various safety topics at 12 different stations staffed by volunteers.
Megan Whitlatch showed students what some Poisonous Plants look like and Evan Delong presented Fishing Safety.
Students were excited to learn at each station.
