Wildlife Conservation Workshop

The Jefferson Conservation District hosted a Wildlife Conservation Workshop on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the District Office.  Thirteen individuals learned about the benefits of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program, Noxious / Invasive Weed Identification & Management, Riparian Buffers and Wildlife in Grassland Areas.  Presenters Mike Kerr, Kimberly Bohn, John Brundege, Tim Hoppe and Megan Whitlatch provided important information as well as answering many questions the attendees asked.

Financial and other support for the CREP Outreach Program Office Mini-grant Program was provided by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. through a Growing Greener Watershed Protection grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and with additional support from USDA-NRCS.
