On February12, 2020, the District hosted a Conservation Seminar at their office in Brookville.  This workshop was for the general public to learn more about conservation efforts.  Topics presented were Riparian Buffers, Basic Wetland Identification, Erosion and Sediment Control, Well and Spring Protection and Permitting.

Presenters were from Penn State Extension and the Jefferson Conservation District answered many questions from the attendees.

"Financial and other support for this project is provided by the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection."

Becky Gaston explained Basic Wetland Identification.
Shaun Wessell presented information about Riparian Buffers.
Danielle Rhea from Penn State Extension told attendees how to protect their springs and wells.
Dana Grabowski presented information on Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
