Municipality Workshop
On January 23, 2020, the District hosted a Municipality Workshop at their office in Brookville. This workshop was for Local Township and Municipalities. Topics presented were Wetland Identification, Chapter 105 Regulations, Stormwater, Public Drinking Water, Erosion and Sediment, Chapter 102 Regulations, and Spring and Well Protection.
Presenters were from Department of Environmental Protection, PA American Water, Penn State Extension as well as the Jefferson Conservation District answered many questions from the attendees.
Becky Gaston explained Wetland Identification and Chapter 105 Regulations.
Public Drinking Water was discussed by Josh Dunkle of PA American Water.
Danielle Rhea from Penn State Extension told attendees how to protect their springs and wells.
Dana Grabowski presented information on Chapter 102 Regulations.
Carl Johnson answered questions about the DGLVR Program.
